The idea was conceived after a trip to MEDICA in October/November 2012
Back in 2012 it started out as an idea to safely 'restrain' babies in their cot so they couldn't roll onto their front while sleeping, a suspected contributor to SIDS. As I researched this, and discovered that my wife and I were expecting twins, I felt a more effective product would be one that improves upon current Baby monitors, removing the flaws and taking advantage of new developments in e-textiles. The first area I started to look at was fabric sensors and then following on from that I looked a very low power SOC's that could handle the features I want in this product. I am currently at the stage of having a rough working prototype together. The initial concept has since expanded from the Baby monitor to an adaptable monitor for Babies, Dependants, Elderly and general people in potentially dangerous environments.
